Műszakonként 3,25 tonna szennyes ruha mosására alkalmas és évente több mint 1,6 millió kg textil higiénikus tisztítására képes az a mosoda, amely a Szombathelyi Országos Büntetés-végrehajtási Intézet területén működik. A mosoda az állami intézmények, elsősorban a börtönök és a kórházak speciális igényeit kielégítő üzem, amely a fogvatartottak számára képzési és munkalehetőséget is jelent.

Patron Saint of the Hungarian Prison Service
St. Adrian, who died in 304 AD – who suffered martyrdom according to legend, because of his Christian faith – is the patron saint of the Hungarian Prison Service since 1996. Since the enter into force of Act XLIII of 1996 on the service of the uniformed staff of the armed law enforcement agencies the employees of the Hungarian Prison Service have celebrated the feast day of St. Adrian on the 8th of September.
